The following sonnet compositions are the result of a 12th grade students' participation in the international GlobeLink Sonnet Writing Project 2003.
Participating schools were asked to write a sonnet about a bridge in their community (literal or metaphorical). It was our wish to take part in this contest in order to gain some insight into the sonnet structure, its poetic style and the appreciation of poetry from the 16th - 21st centuries.
